2. Cedar Key Seafood Festival, Cedar Key, FL

It’s not uncommon to see a seafood festival in Florida (after all, seafood is the state’s main cuisine, right?). However, this seafood festival in particular marks the onset of cooler weather and the beginning of the highly- anticipated stone crab season. It’s also the only time you can visit Seahorse Key, an historic island with lighthouse that’s open only during the festival.

3. Chalk Festival, Venice, FL

4. Kitetober Festival, Miami Beach, FL

This stunning display is one of the largest in the country, hosting hundreds of kites in the air for you to marvel from below.
