Adopt a Shelter Dog
October is Adopt a Shelter Dog Month sponsored by the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). As part of this holiday, Broward County Animal Care is waiving all adoption fees in hopes that you will open your hearts and homes to one of our adoptable dogs. We work hard to provide care for more than 100 dogs at our facility, but there’s nothing like the warmth and stability of family. Consider adopting today!

Be Hurricane Ready
Although impacts from Hurricane Ian were minimal in Broward County, as Floridians we have a responsibility to help our neighbors. As we continue to assess and repair any damages in our own community, Broward County is mobilizing mutual aid efforts to the west coast of Florida to assist with various needs.
As reminder, Hurricane Season goes through November 30 and the County urges residents to stay vigilant. With so many things to think about when a storm threatens, it's critical to have a plan in place. To assist with hurricane preparations, Broward County has a comprehensive website with valuable information and guides to help you prepare for and recover from a hurricane and other emergency situations.
