City Of Pensacola - Recycling update: city of pensacola to Resume Recycling october 3

From: City Of Pensacola
September 27, 2022

Recycling for City of Pensacola Sanitation Customers will resume Monday, Oct. 3 after being on hold while the Emerald Coast Utilities Authority completed repairs to their Materials Recycling Facility.

The City of Pensacola Sanitation Services Department uses ECUA's recycling facility to process recyclable materials, so recycling for city sanitation customers has been on hold since June 16, 2022.

ECUA announced completion of repairs to their recycling facility last week, and began accepting recyclable materials on Monday, Sept. 26 using a phased approach. ECUA will begin accepting recycling from the City of Pensacola at the end of this week, which means the city will be able to resume normal recycling collections for customers starting Monday, Oct. 3.

Customers are reminded to please resume normal recycling habits and to only place recyclable materials in their tan recycling cans. For a list of recyclable and non-recyclable materials, please visit ECUA’s website.

The City of Pensacola would like to thank customers for their patience while ECUA made necessary repairs to their recycling facility.

For more information, please see ECUA's news release.
