LeRoy Collins Leon County Public Library : County Celebrates Women’s History Month with Library Events and Resources

Leon County Government celebrates the achievements and contributions of women during Women’s History Month with an exhibit, story times, and resources from the LeRoy Collins Leon County Public Library System. Thematic book lists, movie watchlists, and Traveling Book Club kits give citizens of all ages the opportunity to learn about the inspiring women who helped shape our community and the world.

In addition to these in-person and digital resources, citizens are encouraged to attend the County’s upcoming Women’s History Month events.

-Celebrating the Women Who Tell Our Stories Exhibit, March 3-31, Leon County Main Library – An exhibit highlighting women who are known for telling and sharing stories in a variety of ways, including literature, art, journalism, and more.

-Preschool Story Timemultiple dates, times, and locations – Designed for children ages three to six, this story time will feature songs, rhymes, and stories focused on women.

-Family Story Time, Saturday, March 25, at 11 a.m., Dr. B.L. Perry, Jr. Branch Library – Families can enjoy songs, rhymes, and stories in honor of Women’s History Month. This program is designed for caregivers and children ages five and younger, but all ages are welcome!
