$5 general admission to Deering Estate on Memorial Day weekend

MIAMI ( May 24, 2022 ) —

On Memorial Day, we remember and honor the sacrifices of men and women who served to preserve our freedom. Take a look at some activities in Miami-Dade County and Miami-Dade Parks that you can enjoy during the holiday, and tips to ensure a safe Memorial Day weekend. 

Deering Estate is offering $5 general admission on Memorial Day Weekend, May 28, 29 & 30 (Saturday, Sunday & Monday). Enjoy wildlife viewing, bay vistas and self-guided access of the museums. Don't forget to pack a picnic! 

Purchase tickets online and select the day(s) of your visit for reduced-cost general admission: $5 per person (ages 4 & up). Free for Deering Estate Foundation Members and children ages 3 and under (membership cards must be presented at gate). Become a Member of the Deering Estate Foundation today!

As part of Blue Star Museums, active duty military personnel, and up to five family members, receive free admission to Deering Estate during the summer, now through Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 5, 2022. 

This year, the Deering Estate is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the construction of the Stone House. During your visit, retail merchandise that highlights the Stone House Centennial will be available for purchase ranging from $3 to $10.

The Deering Estate is a 21st Century house museum, cultural and ecological field station, and a national landmark listed on the National Register of Historic Places, owned by the State of Florida, and managed by Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department. 2022 marks the 100th anniversary of the construction of the Stone House, and along with our philanthropic partners, the Deering Estate Foundation & 100 Ladies of Deering, we will be hosting a series of events & programs in celebration of this momentous occasion. The Deering Estate is located at 16701 SW 72 Ave. in Miami.
