The City Of Pembroke Pines - Independence Day Celebration

The City of Pembroke Pines welcomes both residents and guests for the Annual Fourth of July Celebration on Monday, July 4, 2022 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm at the Pines Recreation Center Festival Grounds located at 7400 Pines Blvd.  This free event open for all ages includes live music by Vinyl, rides, food trucks, games, activities, a pie eating contest and a breathtaking display of fireworks to conclude the evening. 

Guests, wearing their red, white and blue colors, can arrive when the gates open as early as 6:00 p.m. to begin purchasing a large assortment of delightful foods such as hamburgers, hot dogs and plenty of other delicacies offered by the food truck invasion until 9:00 p.m.

At 9:00 p.m., one of the premier fireworks displays in all of South Florida will begin. The beautiful pyrotechnics spectacle will last approximately 20-25 minutes.

Lastly, NO pets, coolers or personal fireworks will be allowed on the grounds. Portable Restrooms will be available.  Parking is free and will be available on the Broward College Campus.  For utmost comfort, please bring a blanket or chair for seating.

Independence Day (Fourth of July) has been a federal holiday in the United States since 1941. On July 4th, the Continental Congress formally adopted the Declaration of Independence, which had been written largely by Thomas Jefferson. Though the vote for actual independence took place on July 2nd, from then on the 4th became the day that was celebrated as the birth of American independence.
