FDOT Temporary Mast Arm Replacement Project

Florida – As part of emergency work to replace failing mast arms, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will replace deteriorated decorative mast arm assemblies with temporary pedestal-mounted signals at the intersection of South County Road (SR A1A) and Peruvian Avenue. The replacements will be done at three (3) locations within the identified intersection: southwest, northwest, and northeast corners.

The FDOT contractor, Arc Electric, Inc., will execute construction activities with partial oversight by staff from the Town of Palm Beach. This work will be completed utilizing mechanical equipment to drill foundation bases at three (3) locations, dismantle existing mast arms, and install precast foundation bases and traffic poles, and mounted signals.

The construction will start on March 7, 2023, and is projected to last through April 7, 2023.

The contractor’s construction activities will be limited to the intersection of South County Road and Peruvian Avenue, with temporary lane closures at either road or avenue throughout the construction activities. To minimize road traffic impacts, please exercise caution and refrain from parking at the identified intersection on these dates:
