Black Sparrow Pirate Adventures

200 East 13th Street

The Black Sparrow Pirate adventure is a 65 minute interactive trip around Peanut Island and the intracoastal region of the Palm Beach Area.  These trips encourage children and adults alike to interact with our host pirates and crew.  Activities include; learning basic nautical terms, raising the crew flag, hoisting the jolly roger, building a treasure map, finding a message in a bottle, defending our ship against an invading pirate with the use of water cannons, and finally finding the "X" where the sunken treasure is and bringing up the chest as a crew. In the end ALL children share in the treasure just like on a real pirate ship.

It's summer vacation and my 9 year old should see something different. The three of us (Mom, Dad and son) drove to Riviera Beach Marina, FL. to join Black Sparrow Pirate Adventures for a late morning cruise around Palm Beach Inlet and Peanut Island. It's a one hour adventure that's great for small children because the pirate on board (great costume) devotes the cruise to the children involving them in different activities and participation the ENTIRE time. Without revealing too much not to spoil the adventure and surprise, I guarantee your child will love it and will not be disappointed. Parents can relax. Go for it.

We just finished our pirate adventure and it was awesome! The "Captain" of the Black Sparrow crew really did a great job! He was in character the entire time, interacted with the children well, and made it fun for the kids and parents. $25 a person for a 1 hour adventure may seem a little pricey, but it was definitely worth it. They keep the kids busy the whole time, first learning pirate lingo, then hoisting the crew's flag, then putting the map together, then fighting off the pirate trying to steal the treasure (definitely the kids favorite part), then finding the treasure (a floating chest that the kids get to help hoist on board). If you have children who are into pirates I highly recommend it :-)

Brought our 2 boys (ages 5 & 7) on Black Sparrow. They absolutely loved it. Thank you Captain Joe, good show! These guys were great with all of the kids on board. My wife found the site on our way down from MN and brought it up; always the skeptic with things like this, I agreed because the cost was very reasonable. Very glad that I did because, as our kids are concerned, this was the highlight of our vacation. Hard to argue with wonderful staff, reasonable prices, and most importantly, HUGE smiles.

Had a great time. We went today which is a Sunday with my 4 year old. The kids all have a great time and the pirates are both entertaining and fun. Definitely go early and bring a little extra cash for fun pirate effects and if your like me for crew tips. We we all impressed how much my son enjoyed it and was engaged the whole hour. Would be fun as a birthday idea. The nearby Tiki bar has good seafood too, but that's a different review.

We took a pirate excursion the beginning of September for my nephews birthday. What a fun day! It was educational, fun, all of the kids were enthralled with the new things that we happening at every turn. Full of entertainment! One mate even helped my almost 2 yr old enjoy in the festivities and he loved it! Nice group of pirates!
