History

The Cape Coral Coconut Festival started in 2005 at Sun Splash Festival Grounds and has come to be known as the city's signature event! Over the last decade, attendance has grown significantly, hosting over 20,000 people! This nutty event with national performers, community entertainment, carnival rides, fireworks, and great food offers a long weekend full of family fun for residents and visitors from all over. Highlights of the party include two nights of national entertainment on the Main Stage with Classic Rock and Country and an amazing fireworks display to end the night. Some past Country Acts include Chase Bryant, Chris Janson, Cam, Russell Dickerson, Travis Tritt and Chris Cagle. Past Classic Rock bands include Vince Neil of Motley Crue, .38 Special, Loverboy, Lou Gramm of Foreigner, Molly Hatchet, and Foghat. Other highlights of the event include the Achieva Credit Union Coconut 5K, the great All-American carnival foods we love, amazing carnival rides for the whole family and entertainment including Polynesian dancers, acrobats, and stilt walkers on the Coconut Stage in the midway area.
