The Miami Beach Library is located in the beautiful South Beach area of Miami Beach on Collins Avenue on 22nd Street, one block from the beach and the Atlantic Ocean. The Library serves residents and visitors from all over the world who come to ask a reference question, to see a program, to obtain local information, to read a paper, or to check out a book. There is a wide selection of U.S. and foreign newspapers and extensive periodical subscriptions. In addition, the library has terminals for accessing the Internet and online databases. Also, children's, young adult and foreign language materials are featured at the branch. Extensive programming throughout the year attracts large audiences to the library. Lectures, films, discussion groups, concerts, dance programs and children's events are regularly scheduled.
