During the fall semester, Collier County Government, Collier County Public Schools, and the Harmon-Meek Gallery of Naples conducted a Centennial Public High School Art Contest celebrating Collier County’s 100th Anniversary. Talented art students across the county submitted 111 pieces of artwork showcasing Collier County landmarks, our unique natural environment, residents at work and play, the diverse culture of our residents, and historical scenes and figures.

Mr. Bill Meek, Director Emeritus of the Harmon-Meek Gallery, judged the contest, and one winner from each high school was chosen to receive $1,000. In addition, one GRAND PRIZE winner—Angel Aguillar from Immokalee High School—was chosen from those submissions to receive an additional $1,000 prize.

The winners will be recognized at the Board of County Commissioners meeting on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, beginning at 9 a.m. in the third-floor boardroom of Building F (Administration Building) at the main campus (3299 Tamiami Trail East, Naples). Free parking is available in the parking garage across from the courthouse.
