Ms. Jolaye Williams, our gifted Young @ Art instructor, has been such a treasure! In honor of Women’s History month (March), Ms. Jolaye chose to highlight the artistic work of Sonia Delaunay to explore congruence and similarity using geometry and Georgia O’Keefe, to explore artistic concepts of scale, depth, shadows and color schemes and apply them in ways our 5-, 6- and 7-year-old artists can understand and appreciate! As one can see from the photos below, these youngsters are beaming with pride in their inspired paintings. Thank you Ms. Jolaye for continuing to ground our young learners in the principles of fine art so they can develop their own paths for artistic expression!

Join Children's Librarian Ms. Tea, and the Library on the Go as we partner this year with KOP Mentoring, Inc for some serious fun to welcome spring with our third annual "Spring Break Playdate!"
KOP Mentoring will provide snack and information about the wonderful opportunities their program affords youth ages 7 - 17. The library will provide a read aloud of Perfectly Imperfect Mira by Faith Pray a sports & recreation themed book giveaway and outdoor sports equipment for use at the park to encourage "unplugged," outdoor recreation, cooperative play, sportsmanship & resiliency.
