December 2023 Newsletter

The Library will close at 3 PM on December 4th for the FWB Christmas Parade.
The Library will be closed December 25 - 26 for Christmas.
The Library will be closed from December 31 - January 1 for New Years.

FWB Christmas Parade
We'll be closing at 3 PM on Monday, December 4th to participate in the FWB Christmas Parade! The route will be north up Eglin Parkway from First Street to Hughes Street. Find a good spot and enjoy the show!

FWBPD Winter Wonderland
FWB Police Department's Winter Wonderland is December 8th and 9th at the FWB Fairgrounds! Stroll down Pallet House Lane, drink hot chocolate, see Santa and the Grinch, and meet police officers and local businesses. Pallet Houses are decorated by the Police Department, City facilities, local businesses, and charities. There will be movies, games, giveaways, food trucks, and more! Entry on December 8th will be one new, unwrapped toy to benefit Toys for Tots. Entry for December 9th will be one new, unwrapped item from a list of items needed from our local nonprofits. FWBFD Christmas for the Kids
The FWB Fire Department is collecting new, unwrapped toys, clothing, books, sports gear, hygiene products, wrapping paper, and tape for their annual Christmas for the Kids. FWBFD will host their Firehouse Cruz-Thru Toy Drive on December 16th from 9 AM - 4 PM. Visit Station 6, at 5 Hollywood Blvd NE, to drop off donations and meet firefighters! Donations are also being collected at the FWB Library. On December 17th, there will be a Stuff the Tundra Event at FWB Toyota. Fort Walton Beach Library Friends

Pyramid Inc. Angel Tree
The Library is hosting an Angel Tree for Pyramid Inc., a non-profit organization for adults with developmental disabilities. Their goal is to help students reach their full potential by teaching fine arts, performing arts, and daily life skills to foster an independent lifestyle. Please turn gifts in at 432 Green Acres Road no later than December 18th. If you have questions, call Pyramid at 850-862-7139.
