Governor Ron DeSantis Appoints Sonya Rood to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — On May 20th, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of Sonya Rood to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

Sonya Rood

Rood, of St. Augustine, is involved in the management of her family’s hunting plantation. She is actively engaged in her community, supporting various charities including a local nonprofit, Rethreaded, Inc. Rood was named Ambassador of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Youth Conservation Center. 

This appointment is subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
