Gulfport Public Library: LGBTQ Resource Center - May 2023

May is here! Which means Pride month is just around the corner!
The Resource Center has LOTS going on in June. Keep reading to learn about our exciting events. Don't forget to mark your calendars!

JUNE 1 - Pride Flag raising at the Gulfport Library (6pm), featuring Council member Paul Ray and drag performer Brianna Summers, followed by unveiling of ArtOUT show in the library.

JUNE 1-30 - The ArtOUT show will be available to view online, at The Gulfport Library, and the winners will be displayed at The James Museum in St. Pete.

JUNE 1 - Drag Performance by Edson Abadia at Catherine Hickman Theater (7:30pm). Get your tickets vis Eventbrite HERE

JUNE 3 - Gulfport Pride (Beach Blvd.) We need volunteers to staff the RC booth and take part in the parade. There are also sponsorship opportunities HERE

JUNE 6 - ArtOUT reception + happy hour at The James Museum (6-8pm). Admission is FREE. Includes complimentary light bites and cash bar. Winners of ArtOUT will be displayed at the museum throughout June. 

JUNE 8 - BrachOUT scholar Nathalie Marceling will speak on the state of Florida education and host an open mic at the Gulfport Library (7 pm)

JUNE 24 - St Pete Pride parade & festival (begins 2pm). North Straub and Vinoy Parks, Bayshore Dr, St. Petersburg. Keep an eye out for the Resource Center crew marching in the parade!
