Where did the time go? It feels like just yesterday I was wishing everyone a warm and blissful summer, and now we're stepping into boot season and looking forward to fireside chats. Fall is ideal for book clubs. Sharing a novel with loved ones this Thanksgiving can truly change the conversation. After all, fictional characters often have lives that captivate us more than our own routines. Take a look at our extensive collection of traveling book club kits. Pair one with a dish from our cookbooks, and you might just find neighbors eager to join.

Dive into the history of recipe writing and discover how recipes can bridge generations with author and food commentator Amy Rogers during our Library Lecture Series "Preserving Your Food Stories: How to Write a Recipe" on Thursday, November 9, from 6-7:30 p.m. at the downtown Main Library.
Stick around after the discussion for a recipe writing workshop where attendees will develop skills to organize and standardize recipes so they can be preserved for future generations.
Native American Heritage Month, also called American Indian Heritage Month and American Indian and Alaska Native Heritage Month, takes place each November and celebrates the achievements and contributions of Native peoples past and present. Learn something new about the rich and diverse history, heritage, and culture of Native peoples with story time and resources from the Leon County Public Library.
