Osceola Library System Happenings for December 2023

November 30 is the last day to submit your original short story or poem to The Write Stuff Biblioboard Challenge!

Entries will be divided into four age categories (Grades K-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-12) and reviewed by the Library's Youth Services team.

One winner will be chosen from each age category.  All other eligible entries will be included on BiblioBoard within our Community Collections.

Hart Memorial Library

Gingerbread House Decorating Contest
Saturday, December 2, 12pm

Celebrate National Gingerbread House Day by constructing and decorating a delicious gingerbread house. Photos of completed houses will be entered into a contest on our Facebook and Instagram pages where the public will vote for their favorite creation. Supplies provided.

WeDo LEGO Robotics
Friday, December 1, 3pm

Work together in groups to build and code beginner-level robots with LEGO building kits. Registration required. Each participating child must be registered individually.

This program is inteded for school age children and teens.

St. Cloud Library

Crafty Crew
Monday, December 4, 1pm

Calling all crafters! For those who love to knit, crochet, cross-stitch, quilt, scrapbook, or any other portable craft, gather your supplies! This is a space to learn, share ideas, and create while in the company of others who share a passion for homemade projects. All skill levels are welcome.

Idea Builders

If you can imagine it, you can build it! Get hands-on design and building skills using LEGO bricks.

Exploring financial literacy can be meaningful and fun!  Assign a "dollar" value to art supplies then set a budget to “shop” with before creating an artistic masterpiece at the Creation Station Art Shop!

Nerdy Nights: Deck the Halls!

Homeschool Book Worms

Get ready to meet new friends and embark on epic adventures while exploring a different book each month.

Ms. Liz will work with one group of homeschoolers weekly while the other groups work independently or with a parent/guardian.
