The City of Pembroke Pines News Calling All Artists

The City of Pembroke Pines in partnership with the Arts & Culture Advisory Board announces a call for artists to submit original artwork for consideration as the official poster for the 25th Annual Art & Music Fest in the Pines to be held on Saturday and Sunday, November 4 - 5, 2023. The submitted piece must be an original work and concept and must portray Pembroke Pines and/or its community in any form or vision. New stylistic interpretations of Pembroke Pines, for example, and abstract contemporary works are welcome. All visual art media are acceptable (painting, drawing, digital, prints, fiber art, or collage) except 3-D sculptural work and video art. 

Submitting artists must be at least 18+ years of age and be an emerging or established professional who identifies as an artist, designer, or creative entrepreneur. Submitting artists that live/work in Pembroke Pines or have significant ties to the Pembroke Pines area are preferred.  The deadline to apply is Wednesday, May 3, 2023. The selected artist will receive $500 compensation for the work and its reproduction rights. The winning submission and artist will have a dedicated area on the city’s art festival web page that includes the artist biography and links to Artist’s website. They will also receive a FREE 10x10 tent space at the 25th Annual Art& Music Fest in the Pines along with social media mention and promotion. Lastly, the selected artwork will be displayed on a city traffic box for the duration of one year with credit to artist.
