Sarah Koren, Esq., Osceola County School Board General Counsel
For the past twelve years, Sarah Koren has served as a staff attorney at Orange County Public Schools. She brings to the Osceola School District vast experience in education law matters, including FERPA/Records Management, Student Enrollment, Rezoning, Board Policy, Student Custody, Student Discipline, School Environmental Safety Incident Reporting (SESIR), Truancy, Parents' Bill of Rights, Curriculum, Workers' Compensation, Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504, Office of Civil Rights issues, American Disabilities Act, and juvenile law (2011-present). She also was an Equal Justice Works Fellow at the Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar Association (2005-2008) and an attorney for Community Legal Service of Mid-Florida, Inc. (2008-2011), providing no-cost legal services to vulnerable clients and dependent youth in the areas of special education, mental health, and juvenile dependency. She received her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education/Varying Exceptionalities and a master's degree in Education Leadership/Policy and Foundations from the University of Florida. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from Nova Southeastern University, and she is Board certified in Education Law.
Susan Zilinskas, Assistant Principal at Bellalago Academy
Susan Zilinskas has held the following positions: Teacher at Somerset Academy East Preparatory in Miramar, FL (2013-2017); Teacher at Mater Brighton Lakes (2017-2022); and Dean of Students at Bellalago Academy (2022-present). She received her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from State University of New York College, a master's degree in Education from Northeastern University, and an Education Leadership degree from American College of Education.
