Since 1977, Seaside Music Theater has been bringing the best in professional musical theater to Central Florida and has become an integral part of its cultural heritage. Recognized by Music Theater International as "one of the most adventurous and innovative theaters nationwide," Seaside Music Theater is unparalleled.

Each year more than 48,000 delighted theatergoers, residents and visitors of Daytona Beach, Florida, are spellbound by the originality, vitality and spirit that have earned the organization its critically acclaimed reputation. The ever-growing collection of more than 250 productions represents the finest in musical theater, operas, dramas, lost American musicals, new works and children's productions.

Seaside Music Theater offers two major theatrical seasons. Summer, the larger of the two, features five major musical productions complete with full pit orchestra as well as a children's production. The winter season features a musical revue and dramatic works. Professional directors, actors, designers, musicians and choreographers are brought in annually from Broadway, television, film and leading cultural institutions from across the country. When combined with the company's award-winning team, professionalism and high production standards are synonymous with Seaside Music Theater.

Seaside Music Theater is the only professional theater in the Daytona Beach/Volusia County area.

To be a professional theater means more than just paying everyone for their work. It means that all the people we hire, from the stars on stage to the crew who run lights to the staff who build costumes, are professional theater artists, dedicated to making their lives in the theater and bringing that dedication to you.

When appropriate, we employ members from the professional unions and guilds: Actor's Equity Association, the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers, United Scenic Artists, etc
