The Seminole Cultural Arts Theatre, was incorporated in April 1997 to respond to the City of Homestead's Request for Proposal (RFP) and selected by the City as a public-private partner on the theatre restoration project; a multi-cultural performing arts and educational complex. Objectives To rebuild and to reopen the present hurricane-damaged Seminole Theatre and adjacent two-story building. To present a wide variety of cultural and educational activities for the public. To offer a state-of-the art performance facility with a multiplicity of community and regional functions and events. To enhance the cultural awareness of our community and the South Dade County/Upper Monroe County region. To serve as a resource to bring together the dynamic and diverse populations who visit and reside in South Florida. To aid in the economic development of downtown Homestead and the entire South Dade/Upper Keys region.
